NGM Knights Win Close Homecoming Game

NGM Knights discuss strategy during the game against the Mosinee Indians on Friday night. NGM held on to win, 14-12.

The New Glarus/Monticello Knights football team faced the Mosinee Indians for their homecoming game on Friday night. The Knights emerged victorious, 14-12.

"This is a big win for the program as Mosinee is a school twice our size," said Coach Jeff Eichelkraut.  "The players did a phenomenal job of competing and playing sound football all night long."

Senior John Chenoweth began the scoring with a 1-yard run for a Knights touchdown in the first quarter. The extra point by Trent Sigafus was good. Mosinee scored a touchdown of their own near the end of the first.
