Sugar River in First Place in Capitol Conference

The Sugar River soccer team traveled to Wisconsin Dells on September 20th and easily won. The final score was 4-0, with all of their goals scored in the first half of the game.

Scoring first for Sugar River was Nick Fahey, assisted by Ezkiel Noriega. Less than ten minutes later Brock Kelly scored on a penalty kick. Noriega assisted Kelly with the third goal at the 34th minute. Kelly, assisted by Jaden Kreklow, scored the fourth goal for the team at the 43rd minute.

Cole Myers had two saves during the game as goalkeeper.

Sugar River were the hosts for the game against Lakeside Lutheran on September 22nd, and shut them out, 2-0.

After a scoreless first half, Jaden Kreklow, with assists from Brock Kelly and Jack Gentilli, scored a goal for Sugar River. Kelly assisted Gentilli with the second goal.

Goalkeeper Cole Myers had five saves.

On September 24th, the team played in Wisconsin Heights. Sugar River won, 1-0. Jared Widish scored the goal, with an assist from Noah Leonard.

The team is 4-0 in conference play, and is sitting in first place right now in the Capitol Conference. They played at Lodi on September 27th and will host Columbus on October 4th, starting at 6:45 p.m.
