4-H teaches youth to give generously of their time and talents in service to their community. Washington Center 4-H have fun working in teams to make tie-blankets for the Monroe Clinic Hospice.

National 4-H week is October 2nd through 8th. What is 4-H you ask? 4-H is a global network of youth organizations whose mission is "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." The 4-H name represents for personal development areas of focus for the organization - Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. There are over 6.5 million members in the U.S., ranging from ages 5 to 21 in approximately 90 thousand clubs. One of those clubs is right here in Monticello - Washington Center 4-H Club.
