Village of New Glarus to Hold Connect Communities Kickoff Meeting

The Village of New Glarus is pleased to announce that New Glarus was recently selected by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) as one of fifteen communities around the state to participate in their Connect Communities program. The Connect Communities program is aimed at helping local and community leaders leverage the unique assets of their downtowns and commercial districts, provide access to resources for local downtown revitalization and enhancement efforts. More information on the Connect Communities program is available at http://inwisconsin.com/community/assistance/connect-communities-program.

With this exciting news in mind, the Village would like to invite and highly encourage all downtown business owners, Chamber of Commerce members and citizens interested in their downtown to attend a Connect Communities Kickoff Event on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., at Tofflers Pub & Grill, 200 5th Avenue. Representatives from the WEDC, village staff and Village Community Development Authority (CDA) members will be present to explain the Connect Communities program further, and its value to New Glarus, and discuss ongoing downtown enhancement projects and strategies.
