New Glarus Volleyball Has Busy Week

 


The New Glarus volleyball team hosted the Marshall Cardinals on Tuesday, September 6th. New Glarus lost all three matches, 25-18; 25-15; 25-20.

Devon Boll led the Knights with six kills, while teammate Willow Lee had five. Boll also had two aces and three digs. Riley Parker racked up 11 assists.

On September 8th, the team traveled to Wisconsin Heights to play the Vanguards. The Knights lost the first two matches, 11-25 and 12-25, won the third match 25-23, but lost the fourth, 8-25.

Julia Barnaby led the team with three kills, while Devon Boll, McKinley Righter and Willow Lee contributed two apiece. Barnaby also had six blocks, while Riley Parker had two. Parker also had eight assists. Madison Perkins and Devon Boll had four digs each.

In the tournament held in Brodhead over the weekend, the Knights faced four teams and took 10th place.

The Knights lost both matches against the Monticello Ponies, 7-25; 14-25. Devon Boll, McKinley Righter, Julia Barnaby and Willow Lee had two kills each. Boll, Madison Perkins and Olivia Woodmansee each had one ace. Woodmansee had three assists while Riley Parker had five.

The Brodhead team won both matches against the Knights, 15-25; 16-25. Olivia Woodmansee, Devon Boll and Madison Perkins had three digs each. Julia Barnaby led the team with four kills. Willow Lee and Devon Boll had three kills each and McKinley Righter had two kills. Riley Parker got four assists, and Olivia Woodmansee had two.

Winning two matches against the Albany Comets, 25-22 and 15-10, the Knights dropped one, 21-25. Riley Parker had five assists and Olivia Woodmansee had four. Parker had four aces while Willow Lee had three. Devon Boll led with six kills, Julia Barnaby had five and Lydia Sprecher had four. Madison Perkins accumulated seven digs and Devon Boll had six.

The team won one match against Monroe, 25-15, but lost the other two 11-25 and 11-15. Leading in kills were Julia Barnaby, Devon Boll and Willow Lee with four. Riley Parker had seven assists. Madison Perkins racked up 10 digs. Julia Barnaby and Lydia Sprecher had two blocks each.

New Glarus headed to Cambridge on September 13th, and will host Waterloo on September 15th.
