NORMAN GAFFNEY

 


Norman Gaffney passed away September 1, 2016.  Survived by a sister, Shirley; and brother, William (Molly); nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Norman was born October 1, 1928, in Milwaukee, the son of Vernon and Marion.  Attended grammar school in Milwaukee, high school in Belleville, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from UW in 1950.

Work history comprised of financial positions in Midwestern and Eastern locations, including Harley-Davidson and A.O. Smith Corporation.  Norman also served as the Financial Director of Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

In an interim period served as a Peace Corps Volunteer to begin a Savings and Loan in Cuzco, Peru.  Also became Regional Director of Peace Corps in Central Luzon, Philippines.

Norman had a new home constructed in Chester County, Pennsylvania, that won a national award from the American Institute of Architects and was listed in the special edition of the American Institute of Architects magazine.

Norman was listed in Marquis 1981-82 edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and also in Marquis Who’s Who in the World in 1981-82.

He will be remembered by his family and friends as a man quick to laugh with an infectious smile and a great love of life.  He will be missed.

Funeral Services handled by the Redlin Funeral Home.  Memorial services pending.  Burial will be at St. Williams Cemetery in Paoli, Wisconsin.
