The Belleville Wildcats played their first football game of the year at home on Friday, August 19th, winning against the Deerfield Demons, 31-6. The game was called with just over four minutes to play, due to lightning in the area.

"We played with a lot of heart. From the first snap the players dominated," said Coach Chase Ritter. "This team has come a long way in just a few weeks and look to make a statement this year.
