Fifth Annual Lakefest Celebration on August 28th
Celebrate Lake Belle View at the Fifth Annual Belleville Lakefest on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., in Belleville’s Community Park.
Free, family-friendly activities include canoe rides, t’ai chi, fur trade re-enactors, nature hikes, music, and a hands-on presentation by nature educator David Stokes and his live lake critters.
If you missed “10,000 Years of History Along the Sugar River” at the Belleville Public Library in May, be sure to visit the Wisconsin Historical Society’s display of artifacts and hear about their archaeological survey of the Belleville area.
This year’s photo contest features prizes for adult and juvenile division winners in the Community & People category and the Nature category.
Local businesses and community organizations are invited to have a booth showcasing their products or services. There is no charge. Just provide your own table and pop-up tent. Register by emailing lakebelleview@gmail.com.
Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, and activities, including the canoe rides. High school students are encouraged to earn Wildcat Cord hours at Lakefest.
Lakefest is being hosted by the Village of Belleville and the Belleville Public Library.
