Sugar River Rapids Win Heidi Invitational

 

The Heidi Invitational was held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, in New Glarus. Swimmers from Monroe, Mineral Point, Bishops Bay, Belleville and New Glarus competed.

Taking second place in the Girls 7-8 100 SC Meter Medley Relay was the Sugar River Rapids team of Ava Hendrickson, Ella Skidmore, Maggie Piper and Emily Goers with a time 2:21.29. The fourth place team, finishing in 2:27.44, consisted of SRR swimmers Hadleigh Shunk, Amalia Morrison, Elena Marunde and Elizabeth Smith. SRR's Kate Parman, Piper Faber, Holly Maynard and Allyson Judd's team came in fifth. The seventh place team consisted of SRR swimmers Luella Meter Brooks, Kaia Morrison, Lauryn Arnett and Mia Sies. Finishing in eighth place was the SRR team of Mia Skidmore, Alexis Elgin, Addison Disch and Katrina Sies.

The SRR team of Jackson Umhoefer, Milo Johnson, Simon Zimmerman and Grady Johnson took first place in the Boys 7-8 100 SC Meter Medley Relay, with a time of 2:01.39. Taking second place was the team of SRR swimmers Brendan Dallmann, Coleden Thompson, Sawyer O'Flanagan and Tyse Hoesly, with a time of 2:26.32.

Taking first place in the Girls 9-10 200 SC Meter Medley Relay was the SRR team of Hailey Thompson, Camryn Arnett, Jadyn Elgin and Hannah Boldebuck, with a time of 3:27.52. In second place was the SRR team of Riley Hoesly, Brooke Warrell, Natalie Wahl and Annaka Boldebuck, with a time of 3:42.83. With a time of 4:01.92, the team of Alaina Smith, Ruby Righter, Lily Maynard and Veronica Tollakson took third place in the event for the SRR. Coming in at fifth place was the SRR team of Hannah Broger, Delaney Lynch, Delaney Karls and Steffi Dopp, with a time of 4:22.70.

Taking first place in the Boys 9-10 200 SC Meter Medley Relay was the SRR team of Lance Brecklin, Emery Johnson, Breckyn Thompson and Brycen Teasdale, with a time of 3:33.57.

The team of Keatan Zimmerman, Kaitlyn Elgin, Samantha Schiro and Morgan Thompson took first place in the Girls 11-12 200 SC Meter Medley Relay for the SRR, with a time of 2:40.39. Taking second place in the event was the Belleville team consisting of Roxanna Gruenwald, Ava Foley, Clara Powless and Gina Salmela, with a time of 3:04.61. Dayna Karls, Margaret Emond, Kayden Dopp and Annabella Tetner's team took third place with a time of 3:22.27. The SRR team of Allison Gobeli, Whitney Disch, Abigail Goebeli and Tenley Faber took fifth place. SRR's Anna McGhee, Amber Horn and Ava Boyle finished the event in seventh place.

The SRR team consisting of Dylan Noll, Francesca Schiro, Kendra Wenger and Chloe Kramer took first place in the Girls 13-14 200 SC Meter Medley Relay, with a time of 2:47.74. Belleville's team, Ayisa Ceesay, Emma Erickson, Mckenna Folkers and Zoe Rule, took third place with a time of 3:07.31.

The Sugar River Rapids took first place in the Girls 15-18 200 SC Meter Medley Relay. Libby Fuller and Nina Schiro finished in 2:35.79.

In the Girls 6 & Under 25 SC Meter Freestyle, Sylvia Wahl (SRR) came in first with a time of 29.82. SRR's Ansley Lynch and Kalia Malaise came in fourth and fifth, respectively. Sophia Smith (seventh place), Bethany Dreyfus (eighth place) and Giada Rodefeld (ninth place) also competed for SRR.

SRR's Griffin Noll (31.60) took first place in the Boys 6 & Under 25 SC Meter Freestyle event. Kelan Bay, also swimming for SRR, took second place with a time of 49.25.

In the Girls 7-8 25 SC Meter Freestyle event, Addison Disch (25.18) took third place, Amalia Morrison (26.32) took fourth place and Alexis Elgin (26.91) took fifth place for the Sugar River swim team. Other SRR team members competing were Josephine Emond, Elena Marunde, Holly Maynard, Hadleigh Shunk, Elizabeth Smith, Kaia Morrison, Luella Meter Brooks, Kate Parman, Lauryn Arnett, Ella Skidmore, Mia Skidmore, Anna Boyle, Ava Hendrickson, Katrina Sies, Mia Sies and Allyson Judd.

Grady Johnson, SRR, took first place in the Boys 7-8 25 SC Meter Freestyle competition, with a time of 21.73. Milo Johnson (23.64), Sawyer O'Flanagan (24.08) and Tyse Hoesly (26.84) took third, fourth and fifth place, respectively. Jackson Umhoefer, Coleden Thompson and Brendan Dallmann also competed for Sugar River. Belleville's Joe Gilinski also participated in this event.

Belleville's Lindsey Schadewalt (38.42) and Samantha Frey (40.47) took second and third place in the Girls 9-10 50 SC Meter Freestyle event. Coming in at fourth place for Sugar River was Annaka Boldebuck (40.70) and right behind her, in fifth place, was teammate Lily Maynard (41.53). Also competing in the event for Sugar River were Hailey Thompson, Delaney Lynch, Brooke Warrell, Steffi Dopp, Delaney Karls, Alana Bay, Hannah Broger, Alaina Smith, Veronica Tollakson and Emily Goers. Belleville's Rachel Carl swam in this event as well.

Emery Johnson, swimming for Sugar River, took first place in the Boys 9-10 50 SC Meter Freestyle event, with a time of 38.34. Belleville's Jacob Jensen-Moyer came in fourth, with a time of 40.89. Coming in at fifth place was SRR's Brycen Teasdale, with a time of 43.56. Also competing for Belleville in this event were Aiden Hatelberg, Caden Myers and Lincoln Bair. Clem Meter Brooks, Grayson Rodefeld and Lance Brecklin competed for SRR.

In the Girls 11-12 50 SC Meter Freestyle, Sugar River's Samantha Schiro (34.09) and Annabella Tetner (39.11) placed third and fourth, respectively. Amber Horn, Whitney Disch, Tenley Faber and Ava Boyle also competed for SRR. Belleville's Gina Salmela and Clara Powless took part in this race as well.

Competing in the Boys 11-12 50 SC Meter Freestyle event, SRR's Peter Bubenzer (43.24) and Kaleb Bay (43.54) took third and fourth place. Holden Righter came in at fifth place for Sugar River, with a time of 44.99. Karson Wenger also competed in this event for Sugar River.

Zoe Rule, swimming for Belleville, took first place in the Girls 13-14 50 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 31.52. Taking second place was SRR's Chloe Kramer with a time of 35.96. Belleville's Mckenna Folkers took third place with a time of 37.26. Libby Fuller, swimming for SRR, took fourth place with a time of 39.91. Belleville's Ayisa Ceesay also competed in this event.

Sugar River's Thomas Bubenzer took second place in the Boys 13-14 50 SC Meter Freestyle event, with a time of 35.02.

Maggie Piper, swimming for SRR, took third place in the Girls 7-8 100 SC Meter IM, with a time of 2:13.93.

Taking first place in the Boys 7-8 100 SC Meter IM for Sugar River was Simon Zimmerman, with a time of 1:45.17.

In the Girls 9-10 100 SC Meter IM, Sugar River's Jadyn Elgin took first place with a time of 1:40.39. Coming in second was Belleville's Lindsey Schadewalt, with a time of 1:49.06. SRR's Camryn Arnett took fourth place with a time of 2:17.11.

Sugar River's Breckyn Thompson took first place in the Boys 9-10 100 SC Meter IM event, with a time of 1:41.25.

Kaitlyn Elgin, swimming for the SRR swim team, took first place in the Girls 11-12 100 SC Meter IM with a time of 1:24.15. Coming in at second place was Belleville's Ava Foley with a time of 1:26.48. With a time of 1:32.24, SRR's Keatan Zimmerman came in at fourth place. Belleville's Roxanna Gruenwald and Sugar River's Morgan Thompson and Kayden Dopp also competed in the event.

Eli Zimmerman (SRR) took first place in the Boys 11-12 100 SC Meter IM, with a time of 1:21.65.

Zoe Rule (Belleville) took first place in the Girls 13-14 100 SC Meter IM, with a time of 1:16.97. Finishing in second place was SRR's Francesca Schiro, with a time of 1:18.34.

Nina Schiro, swimming for SRR, took first place in the Girls 15-18 100 SC Meter IM, with a time of 1:17.26.

Coming in at third place in the Girls 7-8 25 SC Meter Butterfly, with a time of 43.50, was SRR's Lauryn Arnett.

Simon Zimmerman, swimming for SRR, came in first in the Boys 7-8 25 SC Butterfly, with a time of 20.31. Teammate Grady Johnson took third place with a time of 39.80.

Sugar River dominated the Girls 9-10 50 SC Meter Butterfly competition. Jadyn Elgin (46.66), Lily Maynard (50.27), Ruby Righter (1:00.74) and Hailey Thompson (1:03.46) took first through fourth place.

In the Boys 9-10 50 SC Meter Butterfly, Sugar River's Breckyn Thompson took first place with a time of 50.32. Coming in at third place was Belleville's Jacob Jensen-Moyer with a time of 1:08.77.

Samantha Schiro, swimming for SRR, took first place in the Girls 11-12 50 SC Meter Butterfly with a time of 38.07. SRR's Annabella Tenter took third place with a time of 50.37.

Sugar River's Eli Zimmerman took first place in the Boys 11-12 50 SC Meter Butterfly, with a time of 34.44.

Kendra Wenger, swimming for SRR, took second place in the Girls 13-14 50 SC Meter Butterfly, with a time of 43.29.

Belleville's Chase Messner took first place in the Boys 13-14 50 SC Meter Butterfly event, with a time of 51.89.

Sugar River's Maggie Piper (59.27), Addison Disch (1:05.51) and Luella Meter Brooks (1:10.63) took third through fifth place in the Girls 7-8 50 SC Meter Freestyle event.

Taking second through fourth place in the Girls 9-10 100 SC Meter Freestyle event were Sugar River's Riley Hoesly (1:34.92), Natalie Wahl (1:37.46) and Hannah Boldebuck (1:41.03). Delaney Karls also competed in this event for SRR.

Taking second place in the Boys 9-10 100 SC Meter Freestyle was Sugar River's Grayson Rodefeld, with a time of 2:05.11.

Belleville's Ava Foley took first place in the Girls 11-12 100 SC Meter Freestyle event, with a time of 1:15.53. In fifth place was Sugar River's Allison Gobeli with a time of 1:35.34. Dayna Karls, Amber Horn, Whitney Disch, Kayden Dopp and Margaret Emond also competed for Sugar River.

Coming in at second place in the boys 11-12 100 SC Meter Freestyle event for SRR was Jacob Piper with a time of 1:34.99.

Mckenna Folkers, swimming for Belleville, took first place in the Girls 13-14 100 SC Meter Freestyle, with a time of 1:22.74. Libby Fuller (SRR) came in at second place with a time of 1:32.42.

Coming in second in the Girls 6 & Under 24 SC Meter Backstroke was Sugar River's Sylvia Wahl, with a time of 35.83. Ansley Lynch took fifth place for SRR, with a time of 44.97. Sophia Smith, Bethany Dreyfus, Kalia Malaise and Giada Rodefeld also competed for SRR in this event.

Griffin Noll, SRR swim team, took first place in the Boys 6 & Under 25 SC Meter Backstroke, with a time of 39.28. Coming in at second place for SRR in the event was Kelan Bay, with a time of 1:20.09.

With a time of 31.04, Sugar River's Amalia Morrison took fifth place in the Girls 7-8 25 SC Meter Backstroke. Also swimming for SRR in this event were Alexis Elgin, Hadleigh Shunk, Piper Faber, Kate Parman, Holly Maynard, Elizabeth Smith, Anna Boyle, Ava Hendrickson, Mia Sies and Katrina Sies.

Belleville's Jackson Scholey took first place in the Boys 7-8 25 SC Meter Backstroke event, with a time of 28.89. In second place was SRR's Sawyer O'Flanagan with a time of 29.66. Belleville's Joe Gilinski took third place with a time of 30.50. Tyse Hoesly, swimming for Sugar River, took fourth place with a time of 35.62. Brendan Dallmann, Coleden Thompson and Jackson Umhoefer also swam for SRR in this event.

Riley Hoesly, swimming for Sugar River, took first place in the Girls 9-10 50 SC Meter Backstroke event, with a time of 49.49. Belleville's Lindsey Schadewalt took second place with a time of 50.77. Coming in fourth, with a time of 52.20, was SRR's Hannah Boldebuck. SRR's Annaka Boldebuck took fifth place with a time of 55.28. Belleville's Samantha Frey and Rachel Carl, and Sugar River's Brooke Warrell, Ruby Righter, Alaina Smith, Steffi Dopp, Hannah Broger, Veronica Tollakson and Emily Goers also competed.

Carter Scholey, swimming for Belleville, took second place in the Boys 9-10 50 SC Meter Backstroke, with a time of 57.47. Coming in third was SRR's Brycen Teasdale, with a time of 59.63. Belleville's Caden Myers took fifth with a time of 1:01.29. Aiden Hatelberg and Joe Powless also competed for Belleville in this event.

In the Girls 11-12 50 SC Meter Backstroke, Belleville's Gina Salmela took third place with a time of 45.10. Morgan Thompson, swimming for SRR, took fifth with a time of 47.40. Roxanna Gruenwald and Clara Powless, Belleville, and Anna McGhee and Ava Boyle, SRR, also competed.

Jacob Piper, SRR, took first place in the Boys 11-12 50 SC Meter Backstroke with a time of 50.34. Taking third through fifth places were SRR's Peter Bubenzer (56.03), Karson Wenger (59.51) and Holden Righter (1:06.62).

Chloe Kramer, swimming for Sugar River, took first place in the Girls 13-14 50 SC Meter Backstroke, with a time of 42.78. Teammate Kendra Wenger took second place with a time of 44.75. Belleville's Mckenna Folkers took third place with a time of 49.32.

Sugar River's Thomas Bubenzer took first place in the Boys 13-14 50 SC Meter Backstroke with a time of 42.51.

Taking first place in the Girls 15-18 50 SC Meter Backstroke was Sugar River's Nina Schiro with a time of 34.84.

In the Girls 7-8 25 SC Meter Breaststroke, Sugar River's Ella Skidmore (32.08) and Elena Marunde (34.51) took second and third place. Mia Skidmore (39.65) took fifth place for SRR. Sugar River's Kaia Morrison also competed in this event.

Belleville's Jackson Scholey took first place in the Boys 7-8 25 SC Meter Breaststroke, with a time of 27.70. Milo Johnson, swimming for SRR, took second place with a time of 29.26. Joe Gilinski, swimming for Belleville, took fourth place with a time of 39.21.

Samantha Frey, swimming for Belleville, took second place in the Girls 9-10 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, with a time of 54.45. Sugar River's Natalie Wahl (58.72) and Camryn Arnett (59.72) took fourth and fifth place. Delaney Lynch and Alana Bay also competed in this event for the SRR swim team.

Emery Johnson, SRR, took first place in the Boys 9-10 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, with a time of 52.22. Belleville's Carter Scholey took third place with a time of 57.91. Jacob Jensen-Moyer, Belleville, took fourth place with a time of 1:01.18. Aiden Hatelberg, Caden Myers and Lincoln Bair, Belleville, and Clem Meter Brooks, SRR, also competed.

Kaitlyn Elgin, swimming for Sugar River, took first place in the Girls 11-12 50 SC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 42.32. Coming in at second was Belleville's Ava Foley with a time of 47.88. Keatan Zimmerman, SRR, finished third with a time of 49.29. Gina Salmela, Belleville, finished fourth with a time of 50.70. Sugar River's Dayna Karls, Allison Gobeli, Margaret Emond and Tenley Faber, and Belleville's Clara Powless also competed in this event.

Swimming for Sugar River, Kaleb Bay took fifth place in the Boys 11-12 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, with a time of 1:10.00.

In the Girls 13-14 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, Sugar River's Francesca Schiro took first place with a time of 38.88. Belleville's Zoe Rule came in at second, with a time of 39.92. Coming in fourth was Belleville's Ayisa Ceesay with a time of 55.33.

In the Girls 6 & Under 100 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, the team of Bethany Dreyfus, Kalia Malaise, Sylvia Wahl and Ansley Lynch came in first place, with a time of 2:46.45.

Coming in at first place for Sugar River in the Girls 7-8 100 SC Meter Freestyle Relay was the team of Elena Marunde, Addison Disch, Luella Meter Brooks and Maggie Piper, with a time of 1:54.51. The SRR team of Piper Faber, Amalia Morrison, Elizabeth Smith and Alexis Elgin came in at second place with a time of 1:55.57. Finishing third was the SRR team of Kate Parman, Lauryn Arnett, Emily Goers and Holly Maynard with a time of 2:06.66. The SRR teams of Hadleigh Shunk, Mia Sies, Ella Skidmore and Kaia Morrison, and Mia Skidmore, Katrina Sies, Anna Boyle and Ava Hendrickson also competed.

In the Boys 7-8 100 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, Sugar River's team of Tyse Hoesly, Sawyer O'Flanagan, Jackson Umhoefer and Simon Zimmerman took first place with a time of 1:44.57. Taking second place for Sugar River, with a time of 2:01.68, was the team of Grady Johnson, Coleden Thompson, Milo Johnson and Brendan Dallmann.

Sugar River had four teams participating in the Girls 9-10 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay. Taking first place was the team of Riley Hoesly, Hannah Boldebuck, Natalie Wahl and Annaka Boldebuck, with a time of 2:54.98. In second place was the team of Lily Maynard, Ruby Righter, Delaney Lynch and Jadyn Elgin with a time of 2:55.26. With a time of 3:33.45, the team of Steffi Dopp, Alaina Smith, Brooke Warrell and Hailey Thompson took third place. The team of Delaney Karls, Veronica Tollakson, Camryn Arnett and Alana Bay also competed in this event.

In the Boys 9-10 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, Sugar River's team consisting of Clem Meter Brooks, Grayson Rodefeld, Brycen Teasdale and Breckyn Thompson took first place with a time of 3:04.82. Coming in at second place was Belleville's team of Aiden Hatelberg, Jacob Jensen-Moyer and Jackson Scholey with a time of 3:04.90.

Sugar River's team of Annabella Tetner, Samantha Schiro, Kaitlyn Elgin and Keatan Zimmerman took first place in the Girls 11-12 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, with a time of 2:27.11. In second place was the SRR team of Abigail Gobeli, Allison Gobeli, Dayna Karls and Morgan Thompson, with a time of 2:50.20. Belleville took third place with their team of Gina Salmela, Clara Powless, Lindsey Schadewalt and Roxanna Gruenwald, finishing in a time of 2:50.44. Sugar River had two other teams that competed. The first consisted of Margaret Emond, Tenley Faber and Anna McGhee, and the second was made up of Amber Horn, Kayden Dopp, Whitney Disch and Ava Boyle.

The Sugar River Rapids dominated the Boys 11-12 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, taking first and second place. In first was the team of Jacob Piper, Kaleb Bay, Peter Bubenzer and Eli Zimmerman, finishing with a time of 2:45.50. In second place, with a time of 3:24.63, was the team of Holden Righter and Karson Wenger.

Taking first place in the Girls 13-14 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay was Sugar River's team, consisting of Dylan Noll, Libby Fuller, Chloe Kramer and Kendra Wenger, who finished with a time of 2:27.89. In second place was Belleville's team of Ayisa Ceesay, Emma Erikson, Zoe Rule and Ava Foley, who finished with a time of 2:31.88.

In the Girls 15-18 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, swimming for Sugar Rapids was the team of Deedra Delforge, Francesca Schiro and Nina Schiro. They took second place with a time of 2:22.72.

The Sugar River Rapids won the meet, with a total of 759 points. The Belleville Swim Team took fourth place in the meet, with a total of 194 points.
