Belleville Hosts Raider Invite

 


On Friday, May 13, 2016, the Sugar River Raider and Monticello Ponies track teams competed at the Raider Invite in Belleville.

Sugar River’s Nick Smith took fourth in the 100-Meter Dash with a time of 12.16. Jared Schulting (12.66) and Milo Hoesly (13.42) also competed. Max Hoffmaster (12.50) and Cody Garfoot (12.86) competed for Monticello.

In the 200-Meter Dash, Sugar River’s Dalton Fahey took second place with a time of 24.46. Nick Schult (25.88) and Drew Pickett (26.60) also competed. Max Hoffmaster (25.96) and Cody Garfoot (26.75) competed for Monticello.

Cole Myers placed third in the 110m Hurdles, with a time of 18.00, for Sugar River.

Sugar River’s team of Justin Edge, Jordan Hosler, Caden O’Rourke and Evan Reifert placed third in the 4x800 Relay, with a time of 9:05.60.

Lukas Diaz placed fourth in the Triple Jump for Sugar River, with a final of 37-11.50. Drew Pickett (33-08.00) also participated for Sugar River.

In the girls 100-Meter Dash, Logan Fahey took second place with a time of 13.64 for Sugar River. Eliza Woods (15.25) also ran for Sugar River. Monticello’s Emilie Gietzel (14.96), Calissa Briggs (15.70) and Karlene Walters (16.07) also ran this race.

Kiara Donnell placed fourth in the 200-Meter Dash for Sugar River, with a time of 30.17. Jade Halvensleben (30.61) and Eliza Woods (33.15) also competed for SR. Monticello’s Alyssen Noriega (30.80), Emilie Gietzel (31.75) and Calissa Briggs (32.80) also competed.

Sugar River’s Krista Diaz took second place in the 100m Hurdles, with a final time of 16.20.

Sugar River’s team of Bridget Craker, Kerry McCoy, Jenna Molencamp and Gabbie Whisler took sixth place in the 4x800 Relay, with a time of 12:24.59.

Competing in the girls High Jump was Sugar River’s Lauren O’Connor, with a final of 4-02.00 and Emily Flick with a final of 4-00.00.

On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, the Sugar River Raider track team participated in a Capitol Conference meet in Cambridge.

In the 400-Meter Dash, Evan Reifert (56.86) and Ryan Dull (57.50) competed.

Tyler Gilbertson placed second in the 800-Meter Run, with a time of 2:03.46. Jordan Hosler (2:14.30) and Caden O’Rourke (2:14.61) also ran this race. Gilbertson also took second place in the 1600-Meter Run with a time of 4:34.93. Teammates Christian Arnett (4:56.30) and Caden O’Rourke (5:03.74) also competed.

Justin Edge (10:40.64) competed in the 3200-Meter Run.

Cole Myers competed in the 110m Hurdles (17.27) and the 300m Hurdles (44.31).

In the 4x100 Relay, the team of Nick Schult, Dalton Fahey, Jared Schulting and Nick Smith took fifth with a time of 46.66.

The team of Nick Schult, Lukas Diaz, Dalton Fahey and Nick Smith took fifth in the 4x200 Relay, with a time of 1:36.09.

Taking fifth place in the 4x400 Relay was the team of Lukas Diaz, Dalton Fahey, Tyler Gilbertson and Evan Reifert with a time of 3:38.25.

The team of Christian Arnett, Justin Edge, Kyle Fredrickson and Evan Reifert participated in the 4x800 Relay (8:52.20).

Landon Zimmerman won the Discus, with a final of 158-02. Zimmerman placed second in the boys Shot Put, with a final of 51-02.00.

Participating in the High Jump was Jacob Shrader (5-02.00).

Lukas Diaz (37-05.50) participated in the boys Triple Jump.

For the girls, Logan Fahey placed second in the 100-Meter Dash with a time of 13.21, and Kiara Donnell placed fifth with a time of 13.58. Fahey also took second in the 200-Meter Dash with a time of 26.99.

Walela Three-Sticks (1:13.14) participated in the 400-Meter Dash.

In the 800-Meter Run, Noelle Maire (2:32.41), Lauren O’Connor (2:38.59) and Kerry McCoy (3:02.88) competed.

Noelle Maire took second in the 1600-Meter Run with a time of 5:16.22. Jenna Molencamp (6:44.59) also competed.

Noelle Maire won the 3200-Meter Run, with a time of 11:23.96. Gabbie Whisler (13.44.10) also competed.

Krista Diaz took second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.51. She also took second in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 48.72.

The team of Kiara Donnell, Eliza Woods, Jade Halvensleben and Madalena Macht took fourth in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 54.33.

Coming in third in the 4x200 Relay was the team of Krista Diaz, Logan Fahey, Madalena Mact and Grace Schulting with a time of 1:52.96.

In the 4x400 Relay, the team of Rebecca Barr, Jade Halvensleben, Lauren O’Connor and Grace Schulting (4:37.91) competed.

The team of Bridget Craker, Kerry McCoy, Jenna Molencamp and Gabbie Whisler (12:09.47) competed in the 4x800 Relay.

Haiden Zimmerman took fourth place in the Shot Put with a final of 31-08.00.

Emily Flick (4-04.00) competed in the High Jump.

In the Pole Vault, Kati Way took fifth place with a final of 8-06.00. Rebecca Barr (7-06.00) also competed.

Krista Diaz placed fifth in the Long Jump, with a final of 15-08.00. Grace Schulting (14-09.50) and Madalena Macht (14-07.00) also competed. Macht (31-04.00) and Schulting (30-05.75) also participated in the Triple Jump.

“The conference was pretty competitive this season and the team performed as well as we anticipated during the conference meet in Cambridge,” said Sugar River Coach, Willy Johnson.  “Overall, we had 34 PRs tonight, which tells us that we are peaking at the right time as we start our road to La Crosse and the State Meet. We would have liked to placed higher for both boys and girls, but when looking at the conference as a whole we figured we got as many points as possible.  If we want to be back at the top of the conference, we need to increase our numbers, work hard and be committed throughout the season.”

The boys placed seventh and the girls placed third at the meet. On May 23rd Sugar River headed to a regional meet in Monroe and on Friday they will go to McFarland for a sectional meet.
