Re-Opening of the Fire House Exhibit

The New Glarus Historical Society held a free reception on Monday, May 9, 2016, to celebrate the re-opening of the Fire House at the Swiss Historical Village & Museum. The Fire House tells the story of New Glarus' Fire Department from its origins in 1902 and honors the long-standing service of local volunteers across generations. Thanks to recent financial donations, over the past several months the Fire House's exhibits, lighting, and signage have been enhanced to better showcase the vehicles, artifacts, and equipment on display.
