Raiders Ranked Fifth in State

The Sugar River Raider soccer JV and Varsity teams honored their favorite teachers on Teacher Appreciation night on May 5th. Each player chose a special teacher and those teachers received a Raiders t-shirt and a letter of appreciation and gratitude from their player. Both current and retired teachers, from kindergarten through high school, were celebrated.
During the last three weeks of play, the Raiders have held their opponents scoreless and have a record of 11-2-1. With a six game winning streak, where they have outscored the competition 19 to 0, the Raiders were recognized for their accomplishments and are ranked fifth in the state by the Wisconsin State Coaches Association. The players realize this is a special season and their ability to play unselfishly and work as a unified team shines on the field.
