The Swiss Center of North America is deeply grateful to everyone who helped make our second Polka for the Swiss fundraising event on Sunday, April 17, so successful.

First and foremost, I thank Mike and Roland at the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant for hosting us. You offered so much: assistance, creativity, beautiful restaurant space, and music by the Zweifel Brothers. The heritage music by the New Glarus Maennerchor, Jodlerklub and Green County Alphorns added to the spirit of the fundraiser.

The appetizers were tremendous and the Raclette served by Chef Roland was over the top. I heard compliments all afternoon long. People were very, very happy.

Polka for the Swiss raised about $6,500, which will support ongoing work of the Swiss Center to celebrate and preserve Swiss cultural heritage in the United States and Canada.

Danke-Merci New Glarus Hotel Restaurant and to all those who gave of their time to come, polka, bid and have a great time.
