Knights Hold Wildcats Scoreless for Win
On Tuesday, the New Glarus baseball team hosted Columbus, and lost, 16-0.
“Disappointing loss,” said Coach Chris Rear. “Game you would love to forget about as far as outcome, however the game provides us with a lot of scenarios that we can learn from. It is a great opportunity for the kids to grow and improve at the game of baseball.”
Columbus scored in all five innings of the game, holding the Knights scoreless.
Pitching for the Knights were Jared Carney, John Chenoweth and Brandon Winder. Combined, they gave up 18 hits. Carney struck out two players.
