Drug Take-Back Opportunity
The Belleville Police Department is participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back event in 2016. Several cartons of unneeded or expired medications that were dropped off at the Police Department throughout the year will be transported to a drop-off point for safe and proper disposal on April 20, 2016. The disposal service is free and anonymous.
The drug disposal bin is in the lobby of the Police Department. Items can be dropped off in the original containers (please remove the labels or black out the names), or can be emptied into sealed plastic bags. The Police Department is open most weekdays until at least 6:30 p.m.
These items can be placed in the drug disposal bin: Prescription and over-the-counter solid and liquid medications; Creams, ointments, nasal sprays; Pet medicines.
Do NOT drop off these items, the Police Department cannot dispose of them: Intravenous solutions; Inhalers; Aerosols; Injectables, sharps, or needles.
Please drop off unwanted medications before April 20th if possible, so they can be delivered to a disposal site on that date. However, the drug disposal bin is available year-round.
