Construction has begun on both sections of N. Monroe Street in Monticello, and is expected to last several months. Crews will be replacing water and sewer mains, fire hydrants, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. Residents affected by the shutoff of gas or water are expected to be notified in advance of the shutoff.
