As many of you know, the current fire station is outdated and the New Glarus Fire Department is hoping to add an expansion to the existing building. With more firefighters on the roster now than when the current building was completed, more space is required to adequately house supplies and equipment as well as provide room for training. The fire department’s goal is to stay prepared and ready for our growing community. The building expansion is expected to total $300,000.

With so many wonderful businesses and community members selflessly giving to the building expansion fund, the wives of the NGFD firefighters decided it was their turn to make a donation.  On Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, the NGFD wives will be hosting a garage sale at the fire station. Items for sale include household items, furniture, clothes (baby size-adult), games, books and MUCH, MUCH more.  All profits made will be donated to the NGFD Building Fund.  Saturday’s sale will also include a bake sale.

The sale will be located at the New Glarus Fire Station – 212 4th Avenue, New Glarus. Hours for the sale are as follows: Friday, April 8, 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 9, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
