Lady Knights Lose to Evansville Blue Devils

The New Glarus Knights softball team traveled on Evansville on Tuesday, March 22nd, where they lost to the Blue Devils, 14-4.
The Blue Devils scored six runs in the first inning.
An RBI single by Ashley Judd at the top of the third inning allowed Kelly Fredrickson to score, bringing the score to 8-1, with the Blue Devils on top.
Nikki Bushee hit a two-run single in the fourth inning, and a fielder’s choice for the Knights brought the score to 10-4, Evansville.
Knights Pitcher Riley Parker allowed 14 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five.
Evansville’s pitcher allowed just one run over three innings. She struck out five, walked one and gave up two hits.
The game that was supposed to take place at Pecatonica on March 24th was canceled due to weather. The girls headed to Darlington on March 29th, and will play at Monticello on April 1st.
