On Sunday, January 31st, Lake Montesian in Monticello was full of avid fishermen and youth who take fishing very seriously. This Fisheree is an annual event sponsored by the Green County Conservation League and the Monticello Lions Club.  They all had a good time, even with the rain in the morning. They were all trying to catch the biggest fish. There is a warming place at the octagon shelter house where there were many door prizes.

There was also raffle prizes of $300.00, 1st place won by Jodi Atkinson; $200.00, 2nd place won by Sue Wilde; and $100.00, 3rd place won by Joanne Schwartz...
