The Chickaree is an event that Monticello Community Club started in conjunction with the Lion’s Fisheree.
The Community Club will be grilling chickens again this year. Half chickens will be sold at $6.00 (not a complete dinner…just chicken). These chickens are the same chicken that is cooked at Homecoming; however, opinion has it, they’re even better tasting!
You must order your chicken in advance. Preorder forms are available at Gempeler’s Supermarket, Greenwoods State Bank and the local taverns. Indicate your name, phone number and quantity of half chickens you would like....
