The Lady Knights headed to Luther Prep on January 11th to play their final Capital North crossover game. The girls dominated the first half, and were leading at half-time, 37-15.

The Knights outscored Luther Prep in the second half as well, winning the game 66-39.

Coach Kim Burton explains, "Everyone on the roster contributed points to the win. The Knights shot 21 for 27 from the free throw line."

Vanessa Narveson led the team with 16 points. Devon Boll contributed 11 points and Tamara Elzen shot for 9 points and had five assists. Willow Lee had five rebounds and McKinley Righter pulled down four.

January 14th the girls headed to Belleville to play the Wildcats. Belleville's Coach Steinagel had this to say, "This is a game of two halves. The girls had got off to a great start in the first half with getting the ball into the paint in the first half. Our ball movement again was great as Taylor Legler had a great back door cut in which Tara Hanna found her and Taylor finished with a nice left handed layup to take a 16 to 9 lead. The cutting off the ball kept up even more as the first half went in which we took a lead into the locker room."

The score at half-time was Belleville 25, New Glarus 22.

Steinagel continued, "The second half started a little rough as we missed our first three shots. The girls started out with a lot of enthusiasm but we couldn't get a shot to fall to start in the second half. Then New Glarus hit a couple of 3-pointers to change the momentum of the game.  We still had a run in us as we brought the game back to within 6, but no closer. I have to give the girls credit - they never gave up in this game and keep working hard."

The Lady Knights won the game, 54-46. Vanessa Narveson scored 19 points for New Glarus, Tamara Elzen contributed 16 and Willow Lee put 8 on the board, and had nine rebounds. Sarah Rotar and Julia Barnaby had five rebounds each. The Knights were 18 for 23 at the free throw line.

Belleville's Tara Hanna scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds and five assists. Grace Schulting scored 16 points and had nine rebounds and four steals. Lucy Grady put 5 points on the board for the Lady Wildcats and had three rebounds and three assists.

New Glarus traveled Cambridge on January 19th, and host Marshall on January 22. They are 3-0 in the Capitol South and 11-2 overall.
