Youth Wrestling Team Does Well in Oregon and Baraboo Tournaments

Six Individual Champions, the SR youth wrestlers took 3rd place at Oregon tourney.

On Saturday, January 9, 19 SR youth wrestlers traveled to Oregon for their Panther tournament.  As a team, they came home with 3rd place!  So proud of all of the boys.  They crowned six individual Champions and racked up 15 pins!  Nice going. 

Here are their individual stats: Joshua Bair, 1st, 3-0-1; Edward Blumer, 4th, 0-3-0; Sam Culberson, 2nd, 2-1-0; Brody Funseth, 1st, 2-0-1; Maddox Mau, 4th, 0-3-0; Dawson Smith, 2nd, 1-1-1; Hunter Grossen, 4th, 0-3-0; Zechariah Bair, 3rd, 1-2-0; Cayson Helwig, 3rd, 1-2-0; Eli Leonard, 1st, 3-0-2; Noah Roach, 4th, 0-3-0; Levi Truttmann, 2nd, 2-1-2; Harold Blumer, 4th, 0-3-0; Blake Endres, 3rd, 1-2-0; Lincoln Bair, 1st, 2-1-0; Aiden Hatleberg, 1st, 3-0-3; Mason Mau, 1st, 3-0-3; Bo Zantow, 3rd, 1-2-1; Avery Lettman, 2nd, 2-1-2.   

Way to go Raiders.  Thank you to Coach Jeremy Krantz for being there for the boys.

On Sunday, January 10, three boys went to Baraboo along with Coach Pete Swenson. Eli Chapman came home with two pins and 1st place!  Blake Endres took 2nd with a 3-1 record and three pins. Ryker Swenson finished 3rd with a 3-2 record and one pin.  Congrats boys.

Coach Matt Leonard traveled to Delavan with two boys, also on Sunday the 10th.  Taking 1st place with 3-0 record and three pins was Eli Leonard.  And bringing home a 3rd place medal with one pin was Aiden Hatleberg. Overall another GREAT weekend of wrestling for the Sugar River youth grapplers!!  Congratulations to all.
