Junior John Chenoweth (pictured) took 2nd place in the 126 pound weight class at the Raider Scramble held on December 12th. Also placing in the top five was junior Trent Siegenthaler, who took third at 195; sophomore Tanner Jelle, who took 4th at 182; freshman Justin Knoebl, who took 5th at 113; sophomore Max Gerner, who took 5th at 120; and Jonah Thompson, who took 5th at 285.
The Sugar River Raiders hosted Marshall for a dual in Belleville on Thursday, December 17th. The Raiders team won over the Cardinals, 42 to 36.
Marshall's Kale Grossman won over Sarah Marsh at 106 lbs.
The 138 lb class saw Jack Dietrich falling to Marshall's Jensen Langer.
Sugar River's Tyler Varney wrestled at 145 lbs and won over Jarred Gillett of Marshall.
Hayden Latsch, wrestling at 152 lbs, won over Marshall's Jakob Lewis.
Kyle Sparr, wrestling at 160 lbs, won over Marshall's Owen Bailey.
Marshall's Tristan Ruelas won over Calvin Binger at 170 lbs.
