Several educators from the JAM (Juda, Albany, Monticello) consortium traveled to UW-Stevens Point December 4th and 5th to attend the fifth annual Wisconsin Technology Initiative Fall Conference. Founded by John and Tashia Morgridge, the WTI Foundation has given millions of dollars to Wisconsin schools for technology. Highlighting the 2015 Conference for JAM was time spent visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Morgridge.

The JAM consortium currently uses video telepresence to share classes and professional development with other districts in the area, including the Brodhead School District, Oostburg High School, and a Charter School in Janesville. The collaboration between JAM schools has become a model for sustainable, rural education in Wisconsin. WTI additionally provides enhanced student learning within the classroom by providing technology tools, resources, and training of educators.

Many presenters from districts within Wisconsin facilitated sessions including: Scott Anderson, Juda math teacher; Chris Collins, Monticello math/physics teacher; Allen Brokopp, Monticello Superintendent; and Traci Davis, Juda Superintendent. This was a wonderful opportunity for local educators to become more aware of available 21st century technological and learning community resources, in order to continue to deliver meaningful, real time instruction for students.
