On Friday, December 11th, the New Glarus Police Department, along with the New Glarus School District and tthe Green County Sheriff's Office held the DARE Graduation for the 5th Graders at the New Glarus Elementary School on Friday.

According to Sgt Jeff Sturdevant, this year the Police Department was able to provide the entire graduating class with DARE shirts and other small gifts courtesy of the New Glarus Police Department Community Relations Fund.

Sturudevant thanked the parents who attended and congratulated all of the DARE students.

Sturdevent also said, "Thank you to all citizens and businesses in the community that have donated to the fund as it helps make the youth programs a success."

The guest speaker for the DARE Graduation was K-9 Handler Deputy Cody Kanable from the Green County Sheriff's Department.
