Green Cares Third Annual Holiday Party will be held at Barnaby’s Monticello House from 3:30 p.m.– 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 6th. This holiday party is a dressy affair, with sparkling wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and holiday music. You can bring friends, have a great time, get the holidays off on the right foot, all while supporting those in our community who need our food pantry services. $30.00 a ticket gets you in and will help a lot of people.

You already know this, but maybe a reminder will be in order. Everyone who works at Green Cares is a volunteer. The Pantry served 1,165 folks in 2013; 1,437 in 2014 (a 22% increase) and in October 2015 set a monthly record. A fifth of the families served are from Monticello and New Glarus. The pantry’s largest cost is food; most of it being purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank in Madison. Some additional food is purchased and some donated from a number of Green County businesses who share the pantry’s mission.

No one should be hungry! Please, please join us at the Fundraiser on December 6th. Prepayments can be sent to Green Cares Holiday Fundraiser, PO Box 2, Monticello, WI 53570.
