DEVON JAMES STEEL

Devon James Steel passed away in the loving arms of his mother and father on October 30, 2015. He was born May 21, 2015, at Birmingham Women's Hospital in Birmingham, England, to Luke and Jaclyn (Schneider) Steel.

A diagnosed congenital heart condition brought Devon under the dedicated care of the doctors and nurses at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. His resolve, his will to fight and his beautiful smile touched all who loved and cared for him. Despite open-heart surgeries, loving care and prayers, his delicate heart could not carry on. He left us at the peaceful, serene ACORNS Children's Hospice of Birmingham.

In addition to his parents, Devon is survived by grandparents, Robert and Linda Steel, Nuneaton, UK, Jay and Debra Schneider, Mount Horeb; uncles Jamie (Samantha) Steel, Nathan Steel all of Nuneaton, UK, and Kevin Schneider, Telluride, Colorado; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Zentner, New Glarus; paternal great-grandparents, Ron and Cheryl Schneider, New Glarus. His surviving family also includes an extended family of cousins and great-aunts and great-uncles.
