Thank You For Supporting Our Rose Sale
Editor,
The New Glarus Lions would like to thank all who purchased roses during our recent fundraiser. The Rose sale has been ongoing since the later 1980s and is one of our best fundraisers. The New Glarus Lions have used funds from this fundraiser, along with profits from their annual pancake breakfast, chicken BBQ and September golf outing, to give back to the community by donating to the New Glarus Veteran’s Memorial. Regionally, donations were made to The Lions Club Camp in Rosholt, which offers camping to children with visual, hearing or cognitive disabilities or diabetes, and Restoring Hope Transplant House in Middleton, which houses those waiting for eye transplants as well as the Wisconsin Eye Bank. Nationally there was a donation to Campaign Sight First. In January of 2016, we will again award scholarships to four New Glarus High School students.
Your New Glarus Lions are on call to transport eye tissue from Madison to Monroe during two months out of the year. They also faithfully continue with their vision screenings for children. Without your support, we can’t continue to give back…so God Bless you and thank you for a wonderful year.
