Ron Wonders and Father Mick Moon, members of St. Francis of Assisi and the Knights of Columbus, present Darlene Hendrickson, a volunteer with the food pantry, a $100 check for the first 1,000 pounds of food collected under this program.
The Belleville Knights of Columbus Council 6630, with donations from the parishioner's of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, have been collecting food for the Belleville food pantry. For every 1,000 pounds of food donated, we receive $100 from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council to donate to the food pantry so they can use the funds to purchase additional supplies. The Supreme Council makes these funds available up to $500 per year.
