The Monticello Public Library ran a photo contest during their "Escape the Ordinary" Summer Library Program.

Library patrons submitted photos which were then voted on during the month of August. Paula Ritschard's sunset photo won first place.

Voters commented that they liked it because it is simple but beautiful, wonderfully composed and the plant makes the sunset extra extraordinary.
