Monticello Crushes Albany, Loses to Juda

On Thursday, Sept. 3, the Monticello volleyball team was defeated by Juda, 25-16, 25-14, and 25-16. Earlier that week they defeated Albany, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-13.
“We have a young team with limited varsity experience; we graduated nine seniors from last year’s team and have three freshmen and a sophomore on varsity this year competing for playing time,” said Head Coach Scott Smice. “So we are going to have growing pains but expect us to contend every night. We should improve every night we take the floor.”
