Garage Sale’rs - It is time again to begin thinking about the Monticello Chamber of Commerce annual community-wide garage sales. This spring, the first official three-day event went so well, that we are doing three days again this fall. The sales will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 10, 11 and 12. The Annual Community-Wide Garage Sales feature sales throughout the community, clearly indicated on maps with categories of sales items. The spreadsheet will also indicate which days the sale will be held. The maps, with spreadsheets, will be available at multiple locations in Monticello.

Please consider registering your garage sale for the Garage Sale. All registrants will receive a sign that clearly indicates their participation in the community-wide garage sales, information listed on the garage sale spreadsheet and free adverting in the local media. We have again arranged for the Easter Seals Truck to be available Saturday afternoon for donations, be it leftovers from the garage sale or other donations. This fall, that pickup time has changed to 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., on Saturday, Sept 12. So if you are cleaning out your garage, but don’t want to hold a garage sale, this is your opportunity to donate.

If you have good quality suitable items, please consider donating them to Santa’s Workshop. You can bring to Tri-Insure or call 558-2397 for more information. Santa’s Workshop gives local children a safe low-cost option to “buy” Christmas gifts for their loved ones.
