Johnston’s Bakery Inc. located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is voluntarily recalling its #240 Ranger Cookies, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) announced today. The product was processed using coconut, a known allergen, but was labeled as macaroon on the label.

Coconut can cause serious reactions in people with an allergy or severe sensitivity.  No illnesses have been reported from consuming this product.  The product is safe to consume by those who do not have an allergy or intolerance to coconut.
