Dane County Fair Meat Animal Sale Supports Youth Exhibitors
The 44th annual Meat Animal Sale was held Thursday, July 18, 2015, at The Dane County Fair. The sale grossed $169,911.55, according to Dane County Meat Animal Sale Officials.
The sale attracted wide community support with a total of 112 animals sold, including 39 sheep, 51 hogs and 32 steers. Sheep averaged $5.58 per pound, hogs averaged $3.24 per pound and steers averaged $2.22 per pound.
