Sparks to Perform Saturday Night at the Dane County Fair

Pop superstar Jordin Sparks is set to take the stage as the Saturday night entertainment at the Dane County Fair. Main stage entertainment will start at 7:00 p.m., on July 18, 2015, on the Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison stage, presented by local radio station, 93.1 Jamz. Nightly concerts are free with Fair admission.
“Everyone at WJQM is extremely excited to bring Jordin Sparks to the Fair,” said Dave Mazur, 93.1 Jamz Program Director. “Her handful of hits and winning the 6th season of American Idol definitely elevates the caliber of talent that Jamz has brought to town and to the Dane County Fair. It’s sure to be a great show!”
After winning American Idol in 2007, Sparks released her self-titled debut album, which sold over two million copies worldwide. Her single, “No Air,” is the third-highest selling single by any American Idol contestant, selling over three million digital copies in the U.S. and earning a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
Her second album, Battlefield, debuted at number seven on the U.S. Billboard 200, with lead single “Battlefield” reaching number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
She recently released her first mixtape, #ByeFelicia, in 2014 and her third studio album, Right Here, Right Now, is scheduled for release this year.
Sparks is also known for her acting career, appearing in the Broadway musical In The Heights and in the musical film Sparkle.
The Dane County Fair will be held July 15 - 19, 2015, at the Alliant Energy Center, Madison. This year’s theme is #experienceit.
