Green County Humane Society Inc. Receives Grant

 


Green County Humane Society Inc. announces that it has received a grant from the Monroe Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support the SNAP Project.

The SNAP Project is a program designed to help reduce the number of unaltered and unwanted cats and dogs in Green County. The grant money will be used to help fund the SNAP Clinics and to provide vouchers to individuals. The program helps those individuals/families that are experiencing financial challenges and unable to bear the cost of the surgical procedure for their pet. This grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Monroe Fund. The Monroe Fund is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of our communities. Grants from the Monroe Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and humane services, and historic preservation.
