Brandon Shemanski Commits to UW-Platteville for Football

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer football team has announced its 2015 recruiting class, including Brandon Shemanski from Belleville High School.

Shemanski is undecided about what career he will pursue at UW-Platteville, but will be wide receiver. While performing on the varsity level at Belleville, Shemanski earned All-Conference, All-Region, All-Area and All-State honors as a wide receiver and lead the state in regular season receiving yards, touchdowns and yards per game. He accumulated 18 touchdowns and 1,256 yards receiving his senior year, averaging 139 yards per game. An Honor Roll student, Shemanski also ran track at Belleville. Shemanski chose UW-Platteville to play football and because of the campus atmosphere. Brandon is the son of Justin and Heather Shemanski, and will be joining the Pioneer family this coming fall as a true freshman.

Over the past four years, the UW-Platteville football team has earned an overall record of 32-10 and a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record of 21-7. In 2013, the Pioneers accumulated a 10-1 record and reached the NCAA III playoffs for the first time in program history. The Pioneers are coached by 16-year veteran Mike Emendorfer, and play in the Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium, with a capacity of 10,000.
