In the second round of regional play, the Belleville softball team was dominated by Marshall, 12-2, in six innings.

"Not the way we wanted to end our season after playing so well the last few games. We started out on fire, but one inning did us in – again," stated Head Coach Connie Wunschel. "The game was 2-1 Marshall until the fourth inning, when they scored three runs. A dropped fly ball that would have been the third out was the culprit. I think that the momentum of the game could have been changed at that point."
