On Thursday, May 21, the Belleville softball team pulled off a last-inning win over Lodi, 7-6. The Wildcats earned the seven seed in regionals.

"This game started very slow for us. We had two hits going into the bottom of the fourth," explained Head Coach Connie Wunschel. "The pitcher was not a fast pitcher, but we were impatient and not sitting back on the pitch. Once we started doing that, things started to happen."

Offensively, the Wildcats had 11 hits in the game with nine of them coming after the third inning.
