The reconstruction of 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue began the May 5th, with WE Energies replacing their gas lines.  Street reconstruction crews will begin to assemble their equipment and supplies the week of May 11th and begin construction the week of May 18th. 

Work will begin on 8th Avenue first and then move to 7th Avenue.  For a portion of the projects, work will be done on both streets at the same time.  The project includes the removal of the pavement, replacement of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure, shaping and regarding of the roadway, removal and replacement of the curb and gutter and terrace and re-pavement of the roadway.  Construction is anticipated to be complete by late August.
