Monticello Dominates Deerfield, Brodhead

On Saturday, May 9, the Monticello softball team traveled to Juda to play two games: one against Deerfield and one against Brodhead.

In the first game the Ponies dismantled Deerfield, 7-0.

Courtney Leuzinger pitched a no-hitter for the Ponies, facing only 20 batters in the shortened game because of the time limit.

"She (Leuzinger) was really on her game hitting all of her spots," said Head Coach Duane Garrison.

Offensively, Alyssah Kubly led the Ponies going two for three with a three-run homerun, and Jordan Garrison was two for three as well.

In game two the Ponies dominated Brodhead, 7-2....
