The New Glarus School's Therapy Dog Program was recently honored by the New Glarus Home for the time students have given volunteering, visiting residents with therapy dogs. The dogs, trained by students, participate in community service activities at the New Glarus Home through weekly visits. Both the residents and the students benefit from these interactions. The program, started over seven years ago, has received support from the New Glarus Excellence in Education Foundation and from the New Glarus School District.
