Amstutz-Marty American Legion History and Raffle

 


In 1919, after WWI, Congress allowed the Legion to organize for Vets that served in war time, then in 1920 Monticello Post #256 Amstutz-Marty was chartered; so now we are 95 years old.

So to celebrate, we are having a raffle of a Henry rifle (Big boy shoots .38 and .257), valued at $1,000, two prize weekends for two at the Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus, valued at $300, one pizza every month for a year from Gempeler's Supermarket in Monticello, valued at $168, a regular size quilt, a crib quit and crocheted shawl. The drawing will be held at 9:00 p.m., during Monticello's Homecoming celeb...
