Ponies Dismantled by Chieftains
The Monticello baseball team played a doubleheader on the road at Potosi on Friday, April 24.
The Ponies were dismantled by the Chieftains in the first game 15-1 and 23-1 in the second game.
In the first game, Monticello had one run and one hit while Potosi had 15 runs off 11 hits.
Monticello’s only hit came from Trent Siegenthaler, who hit a double.
On the mound pitching the first two innings and one out was Logan Marty; he gave up nine hits, 15 runs, 14 earned runs along with striking out two and walking nine.
Jake Pusel then took over. He gave up two hits and no runs while walking one...
