Jennifer Blumer Graduates From Bank Leadership Program
Greenwoods State Bank announces the recent graduation of Jennifer Blumer, Vice President of Finance, from the Leadership Development Program for Community Bankers.
The Leadership Development Program for Community Bankers is a one-year program offered through the Center for Professional and Executive Development at the UW-Madison School of Business. The program is designed to allow bankers who have taken on, or are preparing to take on broader responsibilities at their bank, or have been identified as having the potential for a future senior management role, to expand their knowledge base and hands-on experience through an intensive, real world curriculum.
“Greenwoods State Bank is extremely proud of Jennifer’s accomplishments,” said Warren Laube, President of Greenwoods State Bank. “The customers in our communities will be well-served for many years to come with Jennifer in a leadership role at Greenwoods State Bank. Our customers expect nothing less than exemplary service and sound leadership from their banker and Jennifer continues that tradition.”
On March 20, 2015, the Leadership Development Program graduated its inaugural class of 23 bankers. During the past year, each participant developed skills in areas critical to effective leadership, such as management skills, advocacy, ethics, finance, marketing, project management, regulation and compliance, strategic planning and overall team leadership.
“The long-term success of Wisconsin’s banking industry – and the financial well-being of the communities we serve – depends upon finding and cultivating the next generation of leaders,” said Jerry O’Connor, Past WBA Chairman and CBW Chairman.
“In uncertain economic times, our communities’ success relies on programs like the Leadership Development Program for Community Bankers to develop the leadership, business and industry skills that are integral to the growth of future leaders,” explained Robert Cera, WBA Chairman.
