Wisconsin Farmers Union Spring Tour Dates Set
Wisconsin Farmers Union will usher in spring with its annual Spring Tour March 30-April 10. The public is invited to attend any or all of seven tour stops spread throughout the state.
Attendees will learn more about WFU and enjoy a complimentary meal. WFU staff will share some background on the organization and give an update on policy priorities. Nearly every stop will also include a tour of the agribusiness host site, which range in diversity from a small-town brewery to an award-winning goat farm, a food cooperative, local food venues and a robotic dairy. Locations include:
South Central: Wednesday, April 1, Cow & Quince Local Food Market & Eatery, 407 2nd St., New Glarus.
North: Monday, April 6, Chequamegon Food Co-op, 700 Main St. W., Ashland.
Northwest: Tuesday, April 7, Valkeyrie Brewery, 234 Dallas St., Dallas. (Not handicap accessible.)
Southwest: Wednesday, April 8, Rooted Spoon Culinary, 219 S. Main St., Viroqua.
Central: Friday, April 10, Groshek Farms (robotic dairy farm), 3271 Sky View Rd., Amherst, and Lettie Jensen Community Cetner, 487 N. Main St., Amherst.
