Courthaus Quilters to Hold Quilt Show
The Courthaus Quilters Quilt Guild and the Monroe High School German and Costa Rica Exchange Clubs will present a quilt show on April 18-19, 2015, at the Monroe High School gymnasium in Monroe, WI, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., each day. This year’s theme is “Threaded Memories.” The event will include a judged quilt show, a display of Civil War Era Quilts inspired by Barbara Bachman, presentations about “The Making of Civil War Fabrics” by Polly Perkins, a merchant mall, gift sales by Guild members, and a quilt appraiser. Admission will be $5.00, or $4.00 with a non-perishable food item. Proceeds will benefit the Green County Food Pantry, Green County Historical Society, and the Monroe High School German and Costa Rica Exchange Clubs.
Entries for the judged quilt show are welcomed from any interested parties. Entry fee is $10.00 for the first item, with a $1.00 fee for each additional item. Entries postmarked by the due date of April 4th will be discounted to $5.00 for the first entry, with a $1.00 fee for each additional item. Entries for the judged quilt show should be in the bed quilt, crib or lap quilt, wall quilt, or quilted accessories categories. Entry fees are waived for youth desiring to enter items in the youth categories. Items submitted for judging must be made by the exhibitor, be clean, and in show condition. Entries may be dropped off at the Monroe High School gym area from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17th. Items may be dropped off prior to that date by calling (608) 214-4192 or (608) 329-4781. All entries will be judged with awards presented at approximately 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 19th.

Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance from quilt guild members and during the show.
