Battle of the Books is a competition that encourages quality reading, team collaboration, and friendly competition.  Students, working in teams of four, read 20 books and answer questions in the form: "In which book __________?"  (The response is a title and author.)  The twenty books span a wide range of genres, from mysteries to non-fiction to fantasies to picture books.  This year, 73 New Glarus students participated, from third to tenth grade, plus 30 teachers who read along with the students.
