Podach Retires and Coworkers Celebrate Her Dedication with a Parade

Cars lined up to honor Sandy Podach, who retired from the Belleville School District after 31 years.

After working in the School District of Belleville for 31 years, Sandy Podach's last day was celebrated last Friday as coworkers drove past her home honking horns sand sending heartfelt retirement messages.

"It's been quite a run," said Sandy, who started working part-time in 1988 and then full-time in 1989.

Sandy added that High School Principal Roger Moe always said that she was a Jack of all trades.

"I did wear a lot of hats," laughed Sandy.

She worked in the high school kitchen, helped staff with printing, worked in both of the libraries, drove students to classes in other school distri...
