Monticello Lions Club Awards Scholarships

Lions President Mike Klassy, presenting a $500 check to our scholarship recipients. Alexis Graber is attending Blackhawk Technical College to become a Dental Assistant, and later to become a Dental Hygienist. Claire Klossner is attending Viterbo College, La Crosse, majoring in Nursing with a minor in Spanish. Mallory Bartels is attending UW-Whitewater, majoring in Special Education and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish. Hannah Zanow is attending UW-Whitewater majoring in Marketing and a minor in Spanish. Lindsay Pence is attending UW-Stevens Point majoring in Soil & Land Management. Jacy Rufer is attending Blackhawk Technical College with a major in Radiography and Sonography. Congratulations to these students as they further their education in their chosen fields.

The Monticello Lions next event is the annual Fisheree, held on January 26th at Lake Montesian. This is with the Green County Conservation League. There will be a raffle held in the Octagon House, along with hot chili and sandwiches, coffee and hot chocolate. The raffle is 6 tickets for $5 with many prizes, the top prize being $300. You may purchase tickets from any Lion or business in Monticello.
